So i’m trying this whole “eating breakfast when i get up thing” this week. So monday worked out well…..got up…..made some coffee…scrambled some eggs….made some toast. I figured i’d try it on tuesday as well.

so i’m getting ready to start chowing down because i’m running a little late….as i go to grab my plate…i ended up bumping all the eggs in the carton off the counter.

<insert a lot of loud swearing>

I decide that I only have time for cleaning or eating……..I decided to go with eating. So coming home to clean up dried up eggs on the floor was NOTTTTT an enjoyable experience. At least i was inspired for my photo of the day….I decided to sacrifice the only survivor from the mornings little incident….

Janeth - NWB, you make a good point about the relative eiearonmvntnl costs of oil sands versus ANWR. What nobody seems to take notice of, however, is that in both cases the lands involved are in the hands of governments, not private parties, so decisions regarding them are both bureaucratic and heavily influenced by political considerations – desires for revenues, citizen concerns, and the relative power of competing enery/enviro interest groups.If we truly lived in market economies and the resources were in private hands, we would certainly see different development decisions, and greater cooperation between the competing interest groups.Instead, we are moving rapidly towards stronger central government influence on all business decisions, which leads both to greater politicization of decisions and to greater likelihood of opacity and backroom deals.
